Our Story

Domaine Lapèze

Domaine Lapèze was built in 1803 in white Quercy stones, typical for this region. It used to be a wine farm, today the caves and old vineyards are part of the heritage.

It’s located in the hills just outside the village center of Montcuq with stunning views overlooking the valley from Montcuq to Lauzerte. The domaine is surrounded by a plot of 5 ha with gardens full of lavender, oleander and rosemary.

As the city center of Montcuq is nearby, it’s very convenient to walk back and forth to the cafés & restaurants for lunch or dinner.

Your hosts

We’re Esther and Marcel. We left our lives in fashion and IT and moved to Montcuq in search of good food, beautiful weather and a slower pace of life. After a long search we found Domaine Lapeze, the classic big house, the fantastic views and the charming village made sure we fell in love with it.

We are renovating the “old Domaine Lapeze” mixing the beautiful classic features with contemporary design.

At the moment we have 3 B&B rooms which have been decorated with TLC to create a home from home feeling which invites you to sit down, relax and enjoy your stay.

The next phase will be renovating the gites, varying from 2 to 5 persons, in the same look & feel, aiming on opening 2023.

The old vineyard also needs a total makeover, starting end of 2022.
